Everyday Hero for Carroll CAC

Trooper First Class John MacDonald

Trooper First Class John MacDonald, State Police Troop E

The Child Advocacy Center of Carroll County (CACCC) is pleased to honor Trooper First Class John MacDonald as our first Everyday Hero. Detective Macdonald has been a core member of the Carroll County Child Protection Team since its inception in 2005. MacDonald has worked for the New Hampshire State Police Troop E for over twelve years. He is a true team player and understands the importance of the multidisciplinary team approach to child sexual abuse investigations. He not only works with the team regarding his own cases, but also makes himself available as a resource to other law enforcement jurisdictions throughout the county. The team appreciates his dedication, compassion and professionalism in advancing the goals of protecting children who are victims of abuse and in maximizing law enforcements' efforts toward justice.

Detective MacDonald is often affectionately called the "team mascot" by other team members. His good nature and persevering attitude regularly boosts the spirits of the Child Protection Team even when dealing with extremely difficult cases. Elizabeth Kelley of the CACCC states, "I can always count on Detective MacDonald and rest assured that he will leave no stone unturned in his investigation. He will not rest until he has looked at the case from every possible angle."

Detective MacDonald is a true advocate for both his team and the children of Carroll County and for that reason we are honored to recognize him as Carroll County's Everyday Hero.
