Everyday Hero for Strafford CAC

Lindsey G.

Lindsey G., Client Services Coordinator, Sexual Assault Support Services

The Strafford County Child Advocacy Center would like to recognize Lindsey G., the Client Services Coordinator at Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS), and nominate her as our Everyday Hero. Lindsey has been a dedicated team member since September 2007, and has been an invaluable asset to our CAC.

As an advocate, Lindsey carries out her work with the utmost professionalism, poise and dedication. Lindsey expertly balances the confidential nature of her work and being a productive, contributing member of the MDT. Lindsey's compassion and ability to support all of the different families through such difficult times is just one of the many ways her work benefits our CAC.

Lindsey's extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system enables her to go the extra mile in explaining and supporting victims and families who have questions, as it is typically one of the highest points of anxiety for families. She is always able to assess and meet each families needs, whether it be offering support, assistance with a restraining order, or help with cab fare home. Lindsey comes to frequent accompaniments at the CAC; she is also the point person for ensuring an advocate is present for each interview. Sarah Maynard, Client Services Director at Sexual Assault Support Services, states that "Lindsey is a true example of an everyday hero who goes above and beyond daily to ensure that survivors and their families have the support they need and deserve in the aftermath of sexual victimization. From coordinating the various client service schedules, to training volunteers and community members, to accompanying victims of sexual assault through the criminal justice system, to staffing the SASS 24-hour hotline, Lindsey is a tireless advocate. Often working around the clock on behalf of survivors, Lindsey is not only an everyday hero; she is an every night, every weekend and every holiday hero." Thank you Lindsey!
